With heavy hearts, we share the passing of John T. Rogers at the age of 59, in Omaha, Nebraska. John is survived by his wife, Susie; their children, Mary Clare, Patrick, and Andrew; his parents, Charles and Leona Rogers; siblings Joe Rogers, Nan Pettit (Scott), and Katie Wythers; mother-in-law Harriet Mullin; brothers-in-law, Wally Mullin, George Mullin, Joe Mullin, Jim Mullin, Tony Mullin and sister-in-law Mary Dvorak, and their spouses; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father-in-law Patrick Mullin.
Visitation will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at John A. Gentleman Mortuaries 72nd Street Chapel (1010 North 72nd Street), with a Vigil Service to follow at 7 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, August 28, 2025, at 9 a.m. at St. John's Catholic Church on Creighton's campus (2500 California Plaza). Carpooling is encouraged as visitor parking is limited.
Lunch will be provided immediately following the Mass, at St. Margaret Mary's Church (6116 Dodge Street), in the Raynor Center.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Nebraska State Bar Association's Volunteer Lawyers Project or Siena Francis House.
