May 22, 1939 - January 14, 2025
U.S. Navy Veteran, 34 years OPPD Retiree, and friend of Bill Wilson.
Preceded in death by parents. Joe and Bessie; brother. Bob.
Survived by wife, Mary Kay; children, Debbie Benge, Mary Jo Conner, Anne (Bill) Rains, Joseph Benak, Michelle Benak, David (Michelle) Benak, and Stephen (Heather) Benak; 13 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; sister, Carol Strickland (Bud); nieces and nephews.
Special thanks to St. Croix Hospice Care.
VISITATION: Sunday, January 19th, after 5 p.m., with VIGIL SERVICE at 7 p.m., at the funeral home. FUNERAL: Monday, January 20th, 9:30 a.m., at the funeral home, then to St. Thomas More Catholic Church for MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL at 10 a.m. INTERMENT: Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to The Parkinson's Foundation or your favorite charity.

Mary Kay n family. It's hard to take hearing of this great loss, I'm sorry I haven't been around more to get to know his great family.. but ill never forget the memories Joe n I had as growing up in our young years. He differently was a big brat that played the accondine..he will be missed God's blessing to you n family

Joe was a kind soul who helped me stay sober. He was a good friend who always put you at ease and made you feel comfortable in conversation. He loved life and loved his Mary Kay. I will never forget his kindness. RIP Joey
