We were so saddened by Joe´s passing. We get the Omaha Obituaries, so we just had to reach out to you. I think you and Joe were our first friends in Omaha. We remember that Super Bowl Sunday when Chad decided to make his grand entrance! We shared some good times together. Please know that you, Chad, Kari, and the rest of your family know that you´re all in our thoughts and prayers.

Joe was a tremendous business leader. He was smart, insightful, committed and kind. As a colleague, many of us, from UNL, will greatly miss him. He left a lasting, positive imprint on many of us.

Joe was one if the best I´ve had a chance to work with and know. He was calm, talented and brilliant. He is a person that I often thought, "I wish I was more like Joe"...and to this day I try. He will be missed but his impact on others will last for very long time.

Joe was a true gentleman and unassuming team player. His advice and encouragement to colleagues like myself in the deciphering of the mysteries of accounting were professionally tendered and always revealed the right solutions. His warmth and smiling demeanor, love of baseball always helped the mathematical medicine go down.

At UNO I worked next door to Joe for most of 20 years. Not once did I see him walking slowly, but always in a rush to get things done. He may have been in a hurry to get home to his wife, who I always thought looked like a movie star. Deepest condolences
