Juanita Galvan Obituary
July 17, 1954 - January 9, 2021
Juanita "Charlie" Galvan of Omaha, NE went to be with her Lord, Saturday, January 9. She graduated Kearney Catholic High School and College of St. Mary, Omaha. Charlie was a talented artist owning Gloria's Custom Framing in Rockbrook Village. She also did paintings and framing restoration. In 1991 she took over operation of the Rockbrook Village Art Fair, and later the art fair in Countryside Village. Her energy was contagious at these events. She made the Rockbrook event the oldest and best in Omaha, boosting the attendance and improving the art in the show. This made her biggest wish come true – to bring an appreciation of the arts to everyone.
Charlie had many interests from art to sports and living life to the fullest. Her love and generous spirit meant that no one was a stranger. She was blessed with amazing friends, customers, mentors, and business associates who all helped her pursue her passion for art.
Preceded in death by mother and father, Merle and Micala Galvan; sister, Carmelita; brother, Merle. Survived by brothers: John, Esteban, Martin; sisters, Vivian, Kathy; nieces, nephews, and an endless host of friends.

I was blessed to get to know Charlie better over the many years of being a vendor at both art shows she operated. Charlie was caring and during some challenges I had as an artist, she was there as a great support to me. I will forever be grateful for her ability to see the "truth". I will miss her. Many prayers and blessings to all her family members and close friends.
