Lavina Goracke Obituary
December 17, 1922 - July 20, 2024
Vi was a loving mother and grandmother who truly enjoyed life. Her love for travel took her to breathtaking places. She was an avid water skier, snow skier, scuba diver, ballroom dancer, pool player and she loved to play bridge. Her passion for business and people led to her long-time professional career as a Realtor.
Preceded in death by husband, Albert Goracke; sons, Ronald Goracke and James Goracke; and special companion, Harold Boettcher.
She leaves behind her children, Lynne (Steve) Houtz, Lavina "Vinie" Goracke (Bruce Hansen), John (Teresa) Goracke and Valena Goracke; grandchildren, Michelle (David) Jacobs, Jessica (Robert) Cardon, Brian (Susan) Goracke; Jillian (Nate) Ford, Colin Goracke; and many great-grandchildren.
Family will receive friends, Thursday, July 25th, from 5 to 6:30 p.m., at West Center Chapel, with a VIGIL SERVICE at 6:30 p.m.
MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL: Friday, July 26th, 10:30 a.m., at St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church.
INTERMENT: Forest Lawn.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Vincent DePaul or Alcoholics Anonymous.
