Age 84.
Preceded in death by his mother, father, brother, and two sisters.
Survived by wife of 64 years, Judy Williams; son, Michael Williams (fiancée Maureen) of Leesburg, VA; daughter, Kristy Bies (Al) of Bellevue, NE; grandson, Trey Bies of Omaha; granddaughter, Anissa Bies of Bellevue; nephews, Michael Quinn (Rhonda) of Mingo Junction, OH, and Matthew Stromeyer (Alicia) of Colliers, WV.
Len served 20 years in the Air Force. He was a big Ohio State fan. He played and organized badminton tournaments in the Air Force and was instrumental in adding badminton into the Olympics. He was Air Force champion in badminton multiple times. He also enjoyed pitching in slow pitch softball in the Air Force and at Avery Presbyterian Church, where he was a pitcher and a coach of the Church's softball teams. Lenny was a member of Avery for 57 years. He was an Elder several times, and the Church's custodian for a few years. He also taught Sunday School, and was a youth sponsor at the church for several years.
VISITATION: Friday, June 28, 2024, 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., followed by a MEMORIAL SERVICE at 12 p.m., at Avery Presbyterian Church, 1910 Avery Road E, Bellevue, NE 68005. PRIVATE INTERMENT: Omaha National Cemetery. Military Honors: Offutt Air Force Base Honor Guard.
