Lloyd (Penny) Pendleton, Jr. peacefully passed away on August 29th, 2023. He was born on September 23rd, 1931, to his parents Lloyd Sr. and Bessie Pendleton in Chicago, Illinois. He was the oldest of four sons born to this union. His father, mother and three brothers, Wallace, Clarence, and John preceded him in death. Lloyd was married to Maggie Pendleton and they had four children (Valla, Llyod, Laurence and Lori). Lloyd served in the US Airforce for 26 years and also was employed with the United Postal Service for 24 years until he retired in 2007.
Those who remain to carry on his legacy and his memory are his four children: Valla Wilson (Johnny), Lloyd II, Laurence and Lori; three grandchildren: Jeremiah, Johnny and Johnika Wilson; siblings: Donald Pendleton, Francine Pendleton, Kathy (Ishmael) Harps, Cynthia Pendleton, Calvin Rhodes, Mary Ann (Tony) Day and Vern Rhodes; sisters-in law: Barbara Pendleton and Lillie Pendleton, and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, and countless friends.
VISITATION: Thursday, September 21, 2023 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Roeder Mortuary. FUNERAL SERVICE: Friday, September 22, 2023, Viewing at 10 a.m. with Service starting at 11 a.m. Burial with military honors following the service at Omaha National Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. Services will be livestreamed at www.RoederMortuary.com under his obituary.
