My Sweetheart, Logan, There is a line from a song in "West Side Story" which says,"Even death won't part us now". You are not with me physically, but you are in my heart and soul. Death cannot part us from the love we have for each other. I'll see you again and I'll bring my dancing shoes. I love you!!!!

Deepest sympathy to the family. Although we only met a few times, Logan often sent me letters with news clippings and historical information of his ancestors. I think he felt it was important that his grandchildren knew about their indian heritage. I really appreciated how thoughtful he was for doing that.
My thoughts and prayers are with the Family during this difficult time of loss.

"Touch the light that shines, all that is naught is a comfort sleeping in the flowers of home, dream of the knowledge beyond, trust the winds in precious moments soft in the breezes of the flutters of your heart,we never leave each other in the great mystery of light, breath vague in the rain sings the song of old, there is no word for goodbye in UmoNhoN." ~ Frank Saunsoci

When I moved to Omaha 21 years ago I learned as much as I could about the history of the area. While I was pregnant with my 20 year old daughter I read a book about the native inhabitants of this part of Nebraska. One of the families written about was the Fontenelle family. I named my daughter Logan in honor of the Logan Fontenelle family. A piece of your history is now her history and you will live on with her. Thank you!

Logan attended Hawthorne School briefly. As a youngster, I recall he was a talented artist. I recall also meeting Logan again at UNO in 1958. I am sorry to learn of his passing, and my sympathy to his family.

Leah,
So sorry to hear that Logan has made the transition and is no longer with us in the physical. I will always remember the times talking to you and Logan at Fontenelle Forest. I still have the picture on my mantle that you took of Logan and myself standing next to the Nature Center. That was the day that I first met you both.
Take care and please know that my thoughts are with you.
Peace, Love, and Light!
