I had never personally met Loren, but I knew his father, Kenneth Loren Ellis. He was the son of one of my great aunts, Florence Etta "Flossie" (Raven) Barnett Ellis Collier. I remember his father very well, and his second wife Elizabeth Virginia "Libby" Cottle very well. Anytime they came to the Auburn, King Co., Washington area where we lived, they would stop by to see my father and mother, William Andrew & LaVonne Geraldine (Cook) Raven Sr.,

First of all, don´t laugh, I have to make a little whiskey & water. Together or apart Loren and I liked to relax. We shared just about everything - family, friends, aspirations for the future and we bet on everything, especially horse races, but never paid off except when he followed my lead. We did well on the triple crown races.
Sometimes when your separated by the miles it´s awesome to have such a special friend to share your days and experiences with. We spoke weekly on the Telly.
Loren worked hard and loved hard because of his family, especially Susie. It showed in all he did.
Do I miss him. Your darn right. Is he burned in my mind of great memories. Definitely!
Thank the Lord I can call him my friend!!

Loren and I have been buddies since 1991. We´ve shared many a good time. Sometimes golf, sometimes poker club, and many times just hanging with our wives and friends. What will I miss most - we finished all calls and meetings with "I love you like a brother". I´ll miss my brother!
