Louise Bazemore Obituary

Louise Marie Bazemore

January 9, 1932 - September 29, 2025

Louise Marie Bazemore, 93, of Omaha, passed away peacefully Monday, September 29, 2025.

Louise was born January 9, 1932, to Louis and Hazel (Winans) Gillotte.

She was preceded in death by her parent, her husband, Vince; her son-in-law, Steven Parsow; and her brothers, Max and LeRoy Gillotte.

Louise and Vince met at Technical High School in Omaha and married on March 30, 1952. After living in Las Vegas, NV, where Vince was stationed at Nellis AFB, they moved back home to Omaha where they personally built a home, with the help of family, next to Louise's parents. As a result, the neighborhood was a strong and supportive community for the family.

Louise worked at Omaha National Bank (now U.S. Bank) for over 40 years. Her Omaha National Bank family played a significant role in family life thanks to the many lasting friendships developed over that time.

Louise had many interests that she and Vince shared, Husker games, be it volleyball, baseball or football, travel to anywhere one could drive (Vince hated flying) and love of family time and many years of Sunday family dinners.

Louise is survived by daughter, Debra Parsow and Michael Preston; children, Rachel (Colin) Johnson and Alex Preston; grandchildren Gigi and Maxwell Preston; daughter, Denise and Roger Friesen; grandchildren, Jessica (Ty) Hickok, Kurt (Kayla) Friesen, Sadie (Ethan) Hall, Emma (Andrew) Bayly; eleven great- grandchildren; and her much-loved niece, Judy (Dale) Weis, of Wahoo, the flower girl in their wedding.

Memorials are suggested to the Omaha Parks Foundation for the Steven S. Parsow Playground (www.omahaparksfoundation.org) or SOS Marriage Care of Omaha (www.sosmarriagecare.com).
