Saw the death notice at the Nouasseur (morocco) website. Lynn and I were classmates, both graduating in 1957. Our grad class was small and I am not sure how many of us are left. It is somewhat rare that an old friend of mine shows up on the site.

I remember my uncle Lynn listenting to a Husker game at my wedding reception on his portable radio. Always so funny, lighthearted and a great story teller with an amazingly generous heart. RIP Uncle Lynn... forever in our hearts and never forgotten!!!

Our thoughts and prayers are with you, Irene. We enjoyed meeting you and Lynn on your visit with Dan in Michigan; we were so happy you took the time to drive to Northern Michigan to visit with us and enjoyed Lynn's sense of humor and all the "stories" about him and Pete and Dan when they were growing up...and, how much he and Dan were alike! We hope all the wonderful memories throughout your life together will help you through this difficult time.

My husband, Pat Cody, and Lynn and I were friends when the "boys" worked at Sidles in South Omaha and we were all on the Sidles bowling league. Lynn told us we had to name our daughter after him so we named her Pamela Lynn Cody and I think he was pleased. Years later, whenever we were in Omaha, we'd meet up with Lynn and Irene. My children remember him and our thoughts and prayers are with Irene in this time of sadness. You will be missed Lynn.

You and Lynn were wonderful neighbors, all of us on Gerrish Island missed you when you moved back home. Lynn gave this Buckeye fan a whole new perspective on football. I'm sure he is organizing things in Husker Heaven. Jack and Joyce

Dear Irene;
I'm heartbroken to hear of the loss of my great friend and mentor Lynn. You and Lynn have meant so much and done so much for me and my family in my lifetime that I will always be indebted to you. Not many people know it but when I graduated from college, (UNO) Lynn and Fred gave me my first job until I could find something more permanent to my field. He always treated me like I was part of his family. I will never forget that. I loved Lynn's great sense of humor, welcome smile, and genuine laugh. I must have had 1000's of laughs with him over our many years of friendship. I loved every minute I was in his and your presence. There is no finer person on earth than Lynn. Lynn taught me a lot about being a true friend, a good person, and about life and business in general. He treated the people who worked for him and who were friends of people he worked with like gold. He and you always made sure me, and then when I got married, my family were welcome around him. You both made it a point to ask how you were doing, and to come and visit him up in Maine, which we did a few times. What great memories and experiences those were. By doing so he taught us all a great lesson on how to treat others that were important to you, no matter what the situation. Lynn had the biggest heart in the world and I am going to really miss him. Irene, I love both you and Lynn with all my heart and hope that there is a cold Bud waiting for Lynn upon his arrival in heaven. God's blessings to you and your family. We will be here for you, just as Lynn would want to make sure we are.

Irene, we're holding you close in this sad time. Lynn was simply one of the finest people I've ever known and he changed our entire family for the better. My mom and dad just adored him. Lynn made a big difference in the world by being kind and generous - he was role model of a life very well lived. You were lucky to have him as a best friend. Please know that we love you dearly.

Dear Irene,
I am so very sorry about Lynn. You have lost your best friend, biggest fan, and fellow adventurer. We have lost our dear friend, and we will never know anyone like him again. Lynn was such a good man, and a good friend, and I loved seeing both of you. I'll never forget the twinkle in his eyes, his funny sense of humor, or the way that he loved you. I am proud to call Lynn my friend, and I am thinking of you and all of your family.
