Marilyn Larkowski Obituary

Marilyn Anna (Nissen) Larkowski was born July 31, 1935 to Hans Harold and Marie (Gravengaard) Nissen in Enumclaw, Washington. She graduated from Aurora High School (1953) and attended Grand View Junior College. She graduated from the University of Nebraska - Lincoln (1958) and was a member of Alpha Chi Omega. She passed away November 18, 2023 in Omaha, NE. Preceded in death by parents; grandson, Stephen Larkowski; and husband, Rev. Lavern Larkowski. Survived by children, Kevin (Terrie) of Winter, WI; Cara Ellis of Crofton, MD, Lisa (Martin) Hahle of Boise, ID; Craig of Scottsdale, AZ; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Funeral Service 10 a.m. Friday (12/1/23) at Kountze Memorial Lutheran 2650 Farnam Omaha, Nebraska 68131. Memorials Nebraska Children's Home Society, MOSAIC, Grand View University, and Kountze Memorial Lutheran Church.

Marilyn and Vern used to come by and visit and babysit when my kids were little. Jeff and I always looked forward to seeing them when they would come to AZ. Marilyn had a way of making you feel like she was your mother. Sending all our love to the LARKOWSKI family.

I remember and treasure my friendship with Marilyn when lived in Gretna . She was such a dear person and helper in Lavern´s ministry at Resurrection Lutheran. We kept in touch for a very long while. My love and deepest sympathies go out to her family. I will always be thankful for the times we shared as young wives and mothers.
