Lindgren, Mary Ann

February 12, 1944 - May 30, 2024

Mary Ann, age 80, passed away on May 30, 2024. Mary was born and raised in Wahoo. She graduated from UNL with a BA and MS. As a young woman, Mary taught in the Omaha Public Schools as a special education teacher. She spent most of her later adult years in the hospitality industry in Lincoln. When she retired, Mary returned to Omaha and became involved in politics and volunteering. After health complications, Mary spent her last year at South Haven in Wahoo.

I graduated with Mary Ann in 1961. I did not know her well and did not see her since graduation but I remember her as a kind and caring person the few times that I did see her before we graduated. I would have liked to see her once more before she passed away and I am sorry she is gone.

I worked with Mary Ann and we became friends many years ago while working in the Omaha Public Schools. I am so sorry to hear of her death. RIP Mary Ann. with fond memories of our good times together,

I graduated from Wahoo H.S. with Mary Ann. She was a special friend, She attended our 60th class reunion in Wahoo. We spent some time together in Omaha, had lunch with her and in Wahoo. Sorry to hear of her passing.
