Survived by wife, Sherri L. Hanna; children, Nicole T. Hanna, Kelleen M. Hanna, Lindsay M. Hanna, and Steven M. Hanna; parents, Ted L. and Margaret M. Hanna; brother, Jim L. Hanna; and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Mike and Margy O'Loughlin.
The family will Receive friends Monday 5-7pm, with VIGIL SERVICE at 7pm at the West Center Chapel. SERVICES Tuesday 9:15am, West Center Chapel to St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church for MASS at 10am. Entombment, Calvary Mausoleum. Memorials will be directed by the family. HEAFEY-HEAFEY-HOFFMANN

Mr. Hanna was a great Teacher. i'll never forget the things he has teached us. and everyday when i go to class i'll still remember Mr. Hanna siting in his chair tellinng us storys about his experiece. Mr. Hanna will never be for gotten. Like my mother told Me "his journey may have ended on earth. But it's just beginning in heaven."

Cheryl and I are in Arizona, and cannot attend the memorials. I have known Mike since High School, through years of higher education and even recently we taught together at UNO. He was a great person, and our thoughts and prayers are with you.

I had the priviledge of ordering books for Mike when he needed them to teach his classes. I finally met him the week of Jan 7th and he was such a nice individual to talk to. May God grant the Hanna family grace, peace and understanding in their time of need.

Dear Sherri~
I'm so sorry for your loss. You and the kids, as well as everyone who loves Mike are in our thoughts and prayers. Gone too soon, he is.
So many years have passed since you lived next door, and yet I remember (like it was last week) running over to your house for ...whatever... and having Mike come to your door in a frazzled state because he'd momentarily 'lost' Lindsay while you were at work.
A smart guy who could do so many things and a little kid reduced him to looking like a little kid himself! I of course added to it by asking him what it was worth to him that you not find out. Later he decided it might have been a little funny.
Surely he'll always be close and have his now celestial eyes on each of you. Asking God to hold each of you a little extra gently in the palm of His Hands.
