Michael Manninger Obituary
September 22, 1949 - October 11, 2025
Michael Thomas Manninger, a lifelong Catholic, passed away on October 11, 2025, fortified with the sacraments of the Church, following a brave and stubborn battle with Lewy Body Dementia. He was surrounded by family as he peacefully slipped away to Heaven. He was 76 years old. Mike leaves behind his wife of 49 years, Mary Beth; and their five children, Douglas (Emily), Elizabeth (Joseph), Gregory (Kristin), Matthew (Danielle), and Glennon (Kayli). Grandpa Mike was blessed with 14 grandkids.
Mike will be remembered at a VISITATION and FUNERAL MASS on Thursday, October 16, 2025, at St. Wenceslaus Church, 15353 Pacific St., Omaha, NE, 68154. The WAKE will take place at 10 a.m. and SERVICE to follow at 11 a.m. A luncheon will be held following the service at 12 p.m.

Mike was such a special friend to me when I was his carepro. He loved everyone around him and always had such nice things to say about his wife, kids and was over joyed about his grandchildren. He will sure be missed by me. I started him as a new client with our company then when Mary Beth and the kids decide to move him to a memory support facility I followed him over there. Then I got a new position in the office and no longer cared for him.

Mike and I worked together at Union Pacific in the Mechanical Department. He was always a wonderful person and faithful friend.

There are so many memories to sort through about our time at MOPAC and the Profit Planning Department. I'm sure I have pictures of our group somewhere. My deepest sympathies to Mike's family.
