Mike was a very nice man. We really enjoyed him at Doniphan at the Jr/Sr high school trap shoots.

Mike used to come down and hunt around our farm and was always fun to be around. He was always very easy to visit with!

I was saddened to read of Mike's passing. I remember him from the gunshop, and always enjoyed visiting with him. He was quite a gentelman.

Mike became my next door neighbor a year ago. I hadn't seen him since I left West Bend, IA in 1965. I feel so blessed to have this last year with him. He was a friend, confidant and an unending source of knowledge about almost everything. He knew everything about baseball and was so interesting to listen to. He was one heck of a story-teller. I will miss him. He was like the big-brother that I never had.

Jean, you cared for him like no other professional could have. Your courage and strength are amazing.

Mike had a strong impact on everyone who had the opportunity and pleasure to meet him and with that, his influence will be felt for a very very long time. My deepest condolences go out to his family. Thank you Mike, for helping so many of us. You will be greatly missed.

I worked with Mike at Liberty Mutual Insurance Company many years ago for a brief period. He made a lasting impression. I still laugh when I think of some of his antics all these years later. My sympathy and prayers go out to all of his family.

Mike was a good friend who will be greatly missed. I always enjoyed Mike's great sense of humor, and I will recount his many incredibly funny sayings for years to come. If I had to guess, I would say Mike will be watching the final game of the College World Series tonight from his own sky box. He truly loved the game of baseball. Jean, our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.

Jean and Family,

Mike will be missed and remembered at each shoot and ball game we see or attend. I will especailly miss the visits Mike and had about shooting and hunting. Mike always made the comment that is it good to see old friends from Iowa.

Mike had a brilliant mind. Some of the subtel pranks he pulled around work were legendary.

Mike you were one of a kind and made me laugh when I didn't set targets right at the Grand. Enjoyed being with you and Jean. You were always happy to see people around you.

Mike was a good friend and a great baseball coach. I learned a lot from him and I'll always remember that team and that season.

I can just imagine the conversation Mike and Mary must be having. Heaven (yes Heaven) just got alot more lively. It's a comfort to know Mike passed watching baseball with Jean at his side. Mike was a one of a kind and I'll miss him very much. Much love, hugs and tears to Laverne.
