Michael M. Sales, age 70, of Council Bluffs, tragically died on September 27, 2024. Mike was born December 7, 1953, in Council Bluffs to the late Ruben and Martha (Mayo) Sales. He graduated from Underwood, IA High School in 1972 and later from Iowa Western Community College. Mike worked at the Union Pacific Railroad Print Shop until its closing, and then started his own printing business, A Plus Printing in Council Bluffs. He also worked part-time at FedEx for almost 20 years, where he made countless friends that he considered family. Mike enjoyed fishing, trapshooting, Nebraska Cornhuskers, and the Kansas City Chiefs. He was also very patriotic and had a great love for his country. In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Lisa Marie. Survivors include his wife, Nancy (Smith) Sales of Council Bluffs, daughters, Laura of Kansas City, MO, and Gracelyn of Council Bluffs.
Celebration of Life Service, Friday, October 11, 2024, 1:00 p.m. at Saint John Lutheran Church, 633 Willow Ave. Please plan to share a favorite memory and wear your favorite team colors. A luncheon will follow at the Grass Wagon 110 South 29th St. In lieu of flowers the family will direct memorial contributions.

I knew Mike in high school, I attended St. Alberts but hung around with people from Underwood and Neola. He was always a great guy ! always good to see him through the years. Did work for his mom and gave her vegetables for the grand kids. When she passed away, I saw him at the funeral, did not know he was her son, the apple does not fall far from the tree ! I will miss my friend. Stay Strong ! Quigs

So sorry to hear this sad news. Met Mike as a customer @ Availa Bank & then had him print our church cookbook several years ago. A great customer & wonderful friend. Sympathy to his family & other friends. He will be missed!
