Patrick Buchan Obituary
September 11, 1952 - June 21, 2025
It is with heavy and broken hearts that we share the news of the passing of our beloved patriarch, Patrick James Buchan. Pat left us peacefully on June 21, 2025, at the age of 72 in Omaha, Nebraska surrounded by the warmth and love of his family. Pat was preceded in death by his parents James and Peggy Buchan, brother Michael Buchan, sister Kathleen Buchan Snyder and sister-in-law Karen Buchan.
To know Pat was to love him. He was truly one of a kind, the most devoted and loving husband, the most supportive and incredible father, the fun-loving and adored Papa, loyal brother and an unwavering friend to so many. There wasn't anything he wouldn't have done for those he cherished; his love knew no bounds, and his generosity was endless. He was our rock, our guiding light and the source of so much joy and laughter in our lives.
His spirit of unwavering kindness, and boundless devotion shaped the foundation of our family and touched the lives of all who knew him. Though words cannot capture the depth of our loss, we find comfort in the legacy of love and generosity he leaves behind. Pat's memory will forever be cherished in our hearts, and his influence will live on through the stories, laughter, and compassion he inspired in each of us.
During this difficult time, we kindly ask for your thoughts and prayers for our family as we navigate this profound grief. Rest in peace, our dearest Pat. You will be forever missed and eternally loved.
He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years Bobi, sons Chad (Kris), Jared (Sam), Kayla (Steve), brother Tim Buchan, sisters Jacque Casey (Dick), Rosemary Schultz (Steve), Ann Etienne (Larry), 9 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews who always referred to him as Uncle Buck.
There will be a celebration of Pat's extraordinary life on Saturday, July 19, 2025, from 3 p.m. 7 p.m., at the Omaha Firefighters Hall, 6005 Grover St. Omaha, NE. This will be a time to come together, share memories and honor the incredible man he was.

Pat and I shared a lot of fun times in the early 70´s. Fond memories of Friday nite poker at Scobes house , visiting Chicken Man´s all nite club on 16th street, all nite parties at Squid and Pat´s Apartments with Electric Lemonade, sneaking over the fence to swim at the Birchwood Club pool, huge gathering at Ponca Flats and the list goes on.
