Pearl Rewolinski Obituary

Rewolinski, Pearl C.

August 11, 1921 - June 1, 2022

Pearl C. Rewolinski slipped peacefully away on June 1, 2022 surrounded by family and loved ones by her side. Pearl was born on August 11, 1921 to Charles and Pearl (Phelps) Tatta in Sioux City. Pearl was the first of five children born to the Tatta family. As Pearl grew she attended Bloomer Elementary School and then moved on to Abraham Lincoln High School of Council Bluffs where she was a part of National Honor Society, French Club, Art, and Year Book. Pearl earned an Art Scholarship to Drake University, but instead decided to start her family where she had her three children Judy, Gary and Rebecca Garrett.

Pearl lived in the Council Bluffs - Omaha area almost her entire adult life except for a few years in Northwest Iowa, and a year in San Francisco. Pearl made a living as a Dental Assistant, Customer Service at Brandeis and then finally as a librarian for the City of Omaha where she happily took early retirement. Pearl enjoyed being with her sisters Ruthie and Kathy ( "The Three Sisters Ugly") traveling with her sister Ruthie, playing games, dancing, music, reading, visiting with friends, collecting dolls, gardening and being with her big loud family.

Pearl was preceded in death by her parents; her siblings, Ruthie Dannenburg, Charles Tatta and Katherine Schlatzhauer; and her longtime friend, William Smedley. Pearl is survived by her children, Judy (Dick) Anderson, Gary (Terry) Garrett, Rebecca Garrett; 14 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and 26 great-great-grandchildren; also survived by many nieces, nephews, and so many loved ones.
