My Uncle Bill encouraged me to buy a CB radio when we were going to my brothers wedding in Alabama. I lost him on the road. Kept screaming Mr. Q MrQ come in come in. After a few minutes of this a trucker driver came on and said darling I don't believe this man is going to talk with you. He isn't a man he is my uncle, but we connected a little later down the road and made it to the wedding in one piece.
My brother Bill took my mom and me on a trip around Look Out Mountain to see our sister. We stopped at a drive-in and I ordered hot dogs. When the hot dogs came they had put coleslaw on them. I started crying and told Bill that you don't put coleslaw on hot dogs. So he took them back in and came back with two new ones with Chili on them. He was kind of like that--- my brother Bill.

Knowing & working with Ken, hearing and learning about all the other family members, grandkids, great grandkids. A family full of integrity, positive and moral values ...Quince Jr has truly left a legacy behind that would make any Daddy proud and bring honor to the Whittle name. Carry on that heritage and my prayers are with you all

It is in the peace that is found in knowing God that I pray for you and your family. Be not troubled but rejoice in the fact that the rewards of a fruitful life is a rich legacy that nothing can seperate you from. Meditate on all that is good, lean to God and this too shall pass. In Christ I stand with your family during this time.

I knew Quince from when my mother Criss (Moore/Weible) dated his son Ken many years ago. He was a great man and has a very loving, supportive family. My deepest sympathy in your time of sorrow.

When you met grandpa you could see just why the Whittles are such a kind and generous family. Sad news, but also time to remember and celebrate all his contributions to us!

Love, affection, and thoughts and prayers go out to our "Family-by-Marriage".... We have been blessed to be related by marriage to the great-grandparents of our grandson, Calvin, and have enjoyed so many memorable moments involved in their lives. Great-Grandpa Bill was a wonderful man, loved by all of us, who will be missed terribly. His sense of humor and love he shared with all his family will live in our hearts. Our love to "our Omaha" family..... Bill and Jennifer Daggett

Mr. Whittle was such a wonderful man and I am glad that I had the opportunity to know him. I was thrilled when Megan and Matt got engaged to know that Megan was gaining such a wonderful family...and a grandfather again. I will keep you and Mr. Whittle in my prayers and thoughts.
Love,
Caryn

Wow Bill - I knew this day would come - I will always remember your wonderfully friendly way of helping the poor young neighbor next door, first time home owner, that knew nothing - I knew nothing about many things especially about mowers, but needed one weekly and you were always extremlly helpful - You didn't even seem to mind the time that I didn't add oil and caused the entire engine to blow up - You simply asked me to set it up on the saw horses and gave me a loaner until you re-bulit it - We shared a love for horses, and even shared a few bets too - Who Doctor Who was always one of our winners - Your gentle understanding approach to our children and their ability to simply wander into your home and have a seat or climb the fence to retrieve a ball is certainly a behavior I hope to copy when it is my turn to be the mature experienced understanding neighbor - Over the last few years I very much looked forward to the 4th of July in order to see you and get caught up on your travels and renew our friendship - I could go on, but simply said thanks for everything - I learned a ton - Your friend, Mike
