Attended Sheridan Elementary School, Scott Middle School, Lincoln Southwest High School, and Millard South High School. Confirmed member Southwood Lutheran Church, and member of the Southwood Lutheran Church Youth Group. Survived by mother and step-father: Julie (Beethe) and Chris Beekman, Lincoln; father Robert L. Butler Sr., Omaha; brother Jaryd Cabieles, Lincoln; sister Tiana Butler, Lincoln; grandparents: Marlen and Lois Beethe, Elk Creek, Mary Butler, Lincoln, Mike and Nancy Beekman, Hastings; great grandmothers: Hilda Dieckhoff, Beatrice, Mary Carlisle, Lincoln; His pet cat Harley and dog Carter; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; many many friends.
FUNERAL SERVICES 10:30am, Saturday, January 8, 2011, Southwood Lutheran Church, 9300 South 40th Street, Lincoln. Burial, Lincoln Memorial Park Cemetery. VISITATION 3-8pm Friday with family greeting friends 5-7pm at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home, 6800 S. 14th St., Lincoln. One hour before services at the church Saturday. Just reading the many comments to Robert's obituary has brought our family some peace. We have a long road ahead of us and miss him every second of every day. Life will eventually move on and all of us will get stronger, I wish that upon his friends as well. Thank you for being his friend and keeping all of us in your prayers.

I didnt know Robert Butler Jr. But i want his family to know my thoughts and prayers go out to them. I am very sorry for your loss, I just lost a friend in a motor vehicle accident on his way back to propose to his girlfriend, He also hada kid on the way. Robert will be missed dearly and loved.!

I did not know Robert nor do I know you, the family, but know that you have support from others who understand you must be devastated by the loss of your own and Ms. Kasper. Always remember Robert was only a child and children have to deal with difficult situations. It doesn't mean he was a bad child and is no way a reflection of bad parenting. Robert must have struggled with the decision he made but know Robert is now in God's loving arms and God will provide comfort for those left here on earth to mourn. Peace be with you.

We never know what is in another persons head and as much as we want to fix it or understand it we may never get it.
