Rosemarie Milleria Leonard passed away peacefully in Mesa, AZ, on November 22, 2025, at the age of 90. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sebastian and Francis Milleria, and her husband, James R. Leonard.
Born on August 28, 1935, Rose grew up in Omaha's Little Italy neighborhood, where she was crowned Queen of the Santa Lucia Festival in 1953. She stayed connected to the neighborhood and her Italian culture throughout her life.
Rose devoted her life to raising her six children. She is survived by her sister, Mary Rosenberry of Washington; and her children, Michael (Shari) Leonard of Omaha, NE, Jane (Al) Plant of Mesa, AZ, Timothy Leonard of Mesa, AZ, Daniel (Susan) Leonard of Omaha, NE, John (Corine) Leonard of Mesa, AZ, and Erin (Joel) Hicks of Parker, CO. She also leaves behind 13 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
A Rosary to honor Rose's life will be held in Mesa, AZ, at 12:30 p.m. on December 13, 2025, at Holy Cross Church. Funeral services will follow in Omaha, NE, 10 a.m. on May 29, 2026, at St. Francis Cabrini Church.

I´m so sorry to read this Mike, Jane, Dan, Susie, Tim, Erin, John and all spouses and grandchildren. I know how close your family has always been and your parents so special to you all and to me.
We´re in Florida right now so wanted to pay my respects online but please know your mom, dad and whole family are all in my prayers. I had always thought of them as my 2nd parents when I was younger. and For whatever reason your mom had been in my thoughts a lot this last month or so, now I know why.
