Sarah Lorensen Obituary
August 5, 1939 - June 12, 2025
Lorensen, Sarah Jean, age 85, of Weeping Water, Neb. She graduated from Weeping Water High School in 1957. She married Kenny Hauschild in 1957, and was married to him for 14 years. She moved from Nehawka to Weeping Water in 1971, and worked for WW Public School, and later at Texas Gulf for 23 years. She was a member of the Methodist Church in Weeping Water since the age of 13. Sarah was predeceased by her parents, Willis and Ida Lorensen in 2000; her granddaughter, Amanda Hauschild in 2014; and her brother, Richard Lorensen in 2020. She is survived by her sister, Margaret Lorensen Oxford in Texas; and four children, Steve (Mary) Hauschild, Shirley (Alvin) Brack, Scott Hauschild, Sue (Chris) Snyder; 11 grandchildren, Mindy, Marcy, Michelle, Jason, Craig, Linda, Lori, Chase, Colby, Dustin and Joshua; 25 great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be Monday, June 16, 2025, at 11 a.m., at the United Methodist Church in Weeping Water, Neb. Visitation will be Sunday, June 15, 2025, from 2 to 8 p.m., with family greeting friends from 6 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home.
