Sean, this will make the 12th anniversary of your passing. I still speak of you from time to time with current staff members, people who you never met. I remind them how annoyingly positive you were, always "Living the Dream", despite me needing actual data about how your club was doing that day. I also remember what a loving father you were, kissing your son who wanted to be seen as a man, in public with no consideration of what other people may or may not have thought of your public display of love for your son. I still wonder what might have been had you not been taken from us so soon. You should be proud of all the nice things people took the time to say about you.
I know that I will see you on the other side my friend.

I am so sorry to hear about Sean.He was my best friend in high school.Because of circumstances we grew apart and I moved to Las vegas but I always thought we would get together someday just to talk about where life had taken us.I always remember his quick wit and the ability to see the good side of anyone or anything.Even though we hadnt seen each other for at least 17 yrs I feel a loss. I am so sorry Heather, Fran, and the rest of the Palma family.

It has been a long time since I thought about everyone back in Omaha. I live in Ohio, have 2 daughters from China and my crazy years seem like a distant memory. The kids are in bed, and as a whim I started googling names from my past. I almost fell of my chair to learn of Sean's passing. The last time I saw him was years ago when I showed him my wedding ring during a quick trip home. I ran into him at a steakhouse. Even then it was startling to see such an important person from my past crop up. Now, 11 years later, the sadness is very real. His heart was big. My condolences to the family.

To the Palma family,
I am in shock and in tears...I just found out tonight about Sean's passing. I met Sean at Gold's gym. I have been a member for almost 3/years and have seen managers come and go. He was the best thing that ever happened to this gym. He was so personable, so genuine, so honest...He cared and he got things done. Like I have read, he always said "he was livin the dream", and he took the time to know your name and greet you personally when you came in. A rare refreshing approach to doing business...Get to know your clients... Summer vacation, and being out of town on business made my visits quite few the last fews weeks. Tonight, I asked if Sean still worked there because I hadn't seen him. I was so shocked. My sincere sympathy in Sean's sudden passing. We do not know the plans the Lord has made for us. Like the Billy Joel, song, "Only the good die young"...we have lost a wonderful person. Sean leaves a wonderful legacy. I will truly miss him.

my dear brother it has been one month to the day that you had to go away.time seems to be a burden to those of us still here, waiting for our reward.your life meant so much to so many people, and your passing so untimely and unexpected brings about so many feelings deep within me.i have been guided by your truth, comforted by your compassion, sobered by your wisdom, and called to a higher way of living by your undying passion for life and those you love.sean you will always be with us to guide us thru these dark days, and i know you will celebrate with us every time we find a reason to smile.YOU ARE SO LOVED AND SO MISSED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was taught by my grandfather that if it takes more than one hand to count your true friends then you have lived a full life. When my grandfather told me that, it didn't have much meaning, as I was too young and naive for the message to sink in. The older I get, the more meaning that message has.
Sean couldn't have counted all of his friends if he used both hands and feet. Sean was deeply loved by many.
Sean's passing was tragic. He left this world in what were the best of times for him. Sean had managed to make friends with his past, had embraced the mistakes that he had made and learned from them.
To say that he embraced the present and looked forward to the future would be an understatement. Sean was on love with each day that he had to spend and the outpouring of love and support after his passing is testimony to that.
For anyone who wasn't able to attend, know that Sean's services attracted a full house. The priest commented on that during the services. Again, clearly more testimony to how much Sean gave of himself to others.
It still saddens me greatly that Sean has left. There are so many people that enjoyed him, so many people that loved him, and so many people that would have benefited by him being with us for years to come.
I take solace knowing that Sean is in a better place.
May God watch over Sean's family and friends and may all of us live in a way that honors Sean, his wishes for us and his memory.
Sean was one of the good guys. It was an honor to have known and worked with Sean.

Heather, Geoff, Nick, and Kyler-Words cannot express the pain you are feeling now, nor will they be enough in the months and years to come. But the moments where the grief is unbearable become fewer and farther between, and the memories that make you smile will stand out brighter. These things I know for sure. As the days pass, may you embrace the memory of Sean, and be proud to have been a part of such an extraordinary life. It is through you, all of you, that he lived the dream.
Love,

To The Palma Family,
I just heard about your loss. Sean will be missed by anyone who has come in contact with him. It was always a pleasure talking with him and seeing how far he had progressed in life. I met Sean on a business level and got to know him on a personal level and I am proud of all the things he accomplished. The last time I talked with him he was telling me of his plans to marry Heather, I'm so glad that he was able to accomplish that before moving on. He also kept me informed on the rest of the family. To those of you who may not remember me, know that I never forgot any of you thanks to my conversations with Sean. May God Bless You ALL. With Deepest Sympathy.

I just recently joined Golds about 5 months ago and Sean really made us feel welcome. Whenever my 5 year old daughter came in with me, he made sure he broke off a flower or two to put in her hair. He really knew how to make a little girl feel like a Princess. Something so little made her so happy! I can only imagine the smiles he brought everyday to his family and friends.........Our thoughts and prayers are with you and we are truly sorry to hear of this terrible loss in your life.

Sean sure did have an amazing way to make us laugh. He'd do anything to bring a smile to your face- didn't matter how silly he made himself look- he only cared about getting you to laugh and making your day better. His goofy-ness was contagious. He could make a rock laugh! I'm gonna miss that, as I am sure you will too. But try to remember how blessed we all were to have known him.
His love for you showed! He had such pride when he talked about you all. Carry that with you when you are missing him- know that he left- loving you all just as much as you loved him.
I am truely sorry for your loss.
I'll miss him.
Much Love and God Bless,

I am so blessed and honored to have known Sean for the time that I did. I work in the daycare at Golds Gym and every morning he would come back and hang out with the kids and myself, he even had the nickname "Brownie Monster" from one of the little girls that adored him! Every single one of them ADORED him. His goofy sense of humor, and caring personality will never be forgotten. I will never forget the day that I found out a good friend passed away and he didn't hesitate, he told me to go home, take care of what I needed and take as much time as I needed and don't worry about work, he's got it covered. He helped me get through the tough times and gave me great advice.

I am very sorry to hear about your loss, as well as shocked as I was just talking to him a few weeks ago about his trip to Mexico and how excited he was to be there with his bride. Sean was a great person as I had the pleasure of seeing him daily at Gold's Gym ( North ). Every night I would walk in and he would greet me with a smile, if I came in after work and wanted to tan first he said "why b/c you have to get naked anyways?" it was our little joke but he was a motivator and someone that I will truly miss seeing at Gold's Gym.

I have known Sean since Kindergarten at Blessed Sacrament. We walked home from school together with a few other people. We had the opportunity to travel in the same circles for a while in High School also and my biggest memory of Sean is that he was just a genuinely nice guy. When I saw him a few years ago at my niece Robin and Justins wedding I got a chance to meet you, Heather, and I remember he seemed to be truly content with you. I am so sorry for your loss and will keep you and your family in my prayers.

Heather, I'm praying for you. Losing a loved one is never easy. Don't lose faith. You are not alone - you have many people around you that love you. I cannot imagine the pain you are going thru but take comfort that God has a plan. I love you.

Sean's Family and Friends,
My prayers are with you and your family at this time. I work out at Gold's Gym and often talked with Sean. He was so happy to be married. He is a man who will be missed. He was always so welcoming and caring. I'm very sorry for your loss Heather and my prayers, sympathy, and healing will be with you in this tough time!

Your family is in our prayers. May Sean look down on your family and help you somehow try to find some comfort in all this chaos. My heart breaks for you, Heather. I hope you can find a way to fill your mind and heart with the good memories to get you through all your tomorrows. God Bless.

I was shocked and saddened to hear of Sean's passing. Just a couple of weeks ago he was talking about his honeymoon trip to Mexico. It's so surreal.
I'll miss his greetings when I come into the gym. His family and close friends are in my thoughts and prayers.

Sean blessed us all with his glowing spirit. Adults and children alike. My 2yo daughter, Madison, would come to the gym with me and as soon as we walked thru the door she would be-line thru the gate, around the corner to find Sean, her "boyfriend", standing there with a smile and a flower. His response, "for you miss Madison." She would glow with excitement as she took a huge sniff of the flower. "Yah, Yah" (thank you) she would say as she walked away proud of her beautiful flower. The days Sean was gone, she would run the corner with anticipation...waiting for her boyfriend. This is just one example of the compassion Sean had for the people in his life. I am blessed to have had such a wonderful friend in mine and my daughters life.
