Sherry Vanness Obituary
July 27, 1948 - June 14, 2025
Sherry Vanness, a beloved mother, sister, grandmother and friend, passed away peacefully on June 14, 2025, at the age of 76.
She was an amazing woman with a thirst for learning, a passion for quilting, and a nurturing spirit that impacted many lives. Her love for her family and friends was evident in the way she lived her life. She was the heart and soul of the family and an endless supporter for all her grandchildren.
Sherry, of Omaha, was preceded in death by her sister Janice Schulz.
Sherry will be forever cherished and greatly missed by her son, Stewart (Judie) Vanness, of LaVista, NE; daughters, Dawn (Paul) Henderson and Traci Vanness-Hall, both of Omaha; grandchildren, Rachel and Benjamin Vanness, Jaci, Jared and Jena Henderson, Brenden and Adam Hall; brother, Ron (Faith) Doerr, and sisters Joyce Zimmerman and Laurie Magdefrau.
A private family service is planned.
