Thanks so much to Steven's co-workers, friends and relatives who have contributed to this guest book. It was heart warming to hear from so many people. The following is a note from Steve's Memorial Services.

Remember me in your heart, your thoughts, your memories of the times we loved, the times we cried, the times we laughed. For if you always think of me, I will have never gone.

Steve was a man who seemed to care for others around him more than he did himself. He would go out of his way to show kindness and encouragement. I feel truly blessed to have known Steve and hope his kindness will be an example to us all.
I hope he gets to watch his John Wayne movies in Heaven. (he would have liked that idea)

My sisters and brother and I grew up across the road from Steve and his family. I have many wonderful memories of us playing with him and his sisters and attending our one-room country school and DeWitt High School. He was kind, thoughtful and cheerful. At his mother's memorial service, he said that the family should get together more often. I feel so sad that we didn't do that again before his passing. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and those dear to him. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
