Susan Paintin Obituary
July 18, 1946 - October 16, 2021
Susan Brodie Paintin was born in Omaha, NE to John Cameron Brodie and Audrey Chamberlain Brodie. She graduated from Benson High School in 1964 and later worked as a benefit plan administrator at HDR. Sue is survived by her husband of 54 years, Theodore R. Paintin; sons, Scott (Janet) Paintin, Littleton, CO and Chris (Meghan) Paintin, Omaha, NE; her brothers, John Steven Brodie, Holiday Island, AR and Michael Brodie, Omaha, NE; her sister, Jean Brodie, Ponchatoula, LA; and her grandchildren, McKenna, Connor, Matthew, Amanda, and Finn; Sue's lifelong friends, Sherry Forrest, Debbie Peatrowsky and Eileen Brodie, were like sisters to her. She was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Brodie.
Sue was a wine connoisseur of many glasses. She fell for her grandchildren and always celebrated them with a "Bushel and a Peck and a Hug around the Neck". Sue loved the Rocky Mountains and Colorado's "dry" rain. Ice cream for breakfast was always encouraged. She was known as Grandma Sue to all. When visiting her house, guests could always expect snacks and a glass of wine. They could show up with friends, family, or a bunch of dogs; the more the merrier.

I´m so very sorry to hear of Sue`s passing. Too soon too young. I will forever be grateful to her for her friendship to my sister, Sharon Niederdeppe, during her years of poor health. All of those drives to Fremont were a true sacrifice by a wonderful lady and it meant the world to Sharon and to us. I wish you all the best during your time of loss.. Rita Hersey, Austin Texas.
