Sylvia Stearns, 107 years old, was born in Moorhead, IA and passed away in her home in Omaha, NE. She is preceded by her parents, Peter and Martha Johnson of Onawa, IA and her husband Rev. Arthur F. Stearns of Omaha, NE; two brothers, Orville and Walter Johnson; three sisters, Leona Hughes, Francis and Amy Johnson; two sons, Lyle and Vernon Stearns; son-in-law, Paul Lykke and six step-children, Virgina Johnson, Lillian Foti, Lois Bayles, Bill, Art and Don Stearns. Sylvia is survived by her daughter Diana Lynn Palmer (Paul); granddaughter, Wendy Lamb (Jeremy) and two grandsons, Erik Stearns (Debra) and Jason Stearns of Seattle, WA. She is also survived by two stepgranddaughters Suzanne Mendlik and Sara Hughes of Fremont, NE. Sylvia has 4 great grandchildren, Anna, Aiden, Ian and Jack Stearns. She also leaves behind many loving nieces, nephews, step grandchildren, family and friends and her little American Eskimo dog Kita who kept constant watch over her "Nanny".

Diana,I'm so sad,but feel so thankfull I found my Grand Aunt when I did.I thank GOD we made it for the Stearns,Day reunion and meeting all the other cousins and friends.Please take care we all love you and familys
