Dear Debbie and Zach,
I am so sorry to hear of Teddy's passing. My apologies for being late. He truly was a wonderful man and I know the both of you will miss him dearly. It would have been 4yrs in October that he married my husband Mike and I, he did a wonderful job. I too share in your pain as my Michael passed the same day Teddy did. God Bless to you and Zach, lean on one another and be strong,as He has chosen to take them to a better place leaving us behind. My love, prayers and sympathy to the both of you, Michele (Mitchell)Grabowsky. Dr. Mitchell and Norma's daughter.

To Ted's family,

We went to grade school and high school together and from his picture he hadn't changed a whole lot in all these year. Have not seen him since High School, he was always a great guy and from what I've read he remained that way. My deepest sympathy to you

Deb and family,
I just learned today of your loss. Life does not appear to be fair, and very difficult to understand, leaving us to ask "Why". I am confident your life was full of wonderful experiences, just as you brought to all the children you touched each day.
My prayers are for you to cherish your memories and to find comfort.

During our high school years Ted and I would lay in grass, gazing at the stars and contemplating what the future would hold for us. I joined the Army and did not see Ted again, but was updated frequently by mutual friends. He chose the most nobelest fo professions, public service. His legacy will continue to remind us of the important accomplished he made in the community. My sympathy goes out to his family.

My time with Ted was during his time at Lakeside Wellness Center where we chatted extensively about his trip to Sweden. A great person and I will miss our chats. Ron Mortensen (Omaha)

To Ted Carlson's family: I first met Ted when he was a City Prosecutor and had the honor of appearing before his courts over the next four decades. He was kind, fun-loving, gentle and fair, both as a jurist, and a friend. He will be greatly missed.

I had the pleasure and privilege of clerking for Judge Carlson in the late 1990s. I found him a decent, sincere, and open man, and a judge dedicated to finding and doing the right thing. He will be missed.

Deb and family....Although losing personal contact through the years, I was able, to learn, through fellow friends and Judges, just what a tremendous success and benefit to the entire legal organization Ted had become and what a tremendous influence he had made over so many up-and-coming legal candidates. Because of all the years of our friendship, My heart aches especially for you and your son and the rest of your family. My thoughts and love are with all of you.
Once things begin to settle, I would be very appreciative if I might receive a short note, if possible, to catch some things up....Sincerely,

Frank Kloke

Ted and I were great friends at Central High School. I remember Ted and his Mom and Dad and dog Stretch. I remember when we celebrated getting our driver's licenses. We always walked to school together and were solid childhood friends.

Judge Carlson was always deeply involved in the cases before him and always sought a fair resolution. I've known the Judge since are early formative years in the City Attorneys Office. His continued service on the bench through the rigors of his final days is a testament to his devotion to both his profession and public service. Rest in peace Ted-well done.

I met Judge Carlson in the '80's when he taught Business Law II at the University of Nebraska at Omaha on Saturdays. I was inspired by his professionalism in light of how interesting and humorous his lessons were. When the Joubert case came before the three judge panel, I had struggled with the whole death penalty issue, but somehow was at peace when I found out Judge Carlson was one of the three. He was a fair man. Omaha will feel his loss. Rest in peace Judge Carlson.

I am so sorry to hear of Ted's passing. My deepest sympathy and prayers go to his family. I had just written a note to Ted and hope he was able to read it. Memories come flooding back of Ted and his buddies at our house on California Street and my mom feeding them all . . . Blessings.

I met Judge Carlson in the 60's when we both worked at Police Headquarters 3rd Floor. He was a young prosecutor and I was a Dispatcher for the Police Department. Our paths crossed over the years when I needed someone to talk to young juveniles while working the ride along program for the Douglas County Sheriff's office. He was a true professional and I am sure the legal world will miss him. May he rest in Peace.
