Preceded in death by parents, Thomas and Madeline "Peg" Dineen; grandson, Ryan Dineen; sisters, Rosemary Mummey, Margaret Prendergast. Survived by wife, Barbara Dineen; children, Thomas Dineen, Julie (Mike) Swartz, Peggy (James) Reall; grandchildren, Thomas and Margaret Dineen, Catharine "Cat", Michael and Caroline Swartz, Patrick Reall; brothers, Daniel (Corinne) Dineen, Edward (Jane) Dineen, Richard (Eileen) Dineen; sisters, Beth (Mike) Engel, Colleen (Walt) Wellwood, Patricia (Dan) Reynolds, Mary (John) Jankowski, Rita (Phil) Nelsen; brothers-in-law, Phil Mummey, Mike Prendergast; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
MEMORIAL MASS Monday 11:15am at St. Cecilia Cathedral, 701 N 40th St. Private family interment Calvary Cemetery. VISITATION Sunday 2-4pm with a WAKE SERVICE at 4pm at the Creighton Prep Commons, 7400 Western Ave. In lieu of flowers memorials to Creighton Prep High School or Duchesne Academy. I´ll never forget the countless hours Tom devoted to the Prep Swim Team and the love he showed to all the members. It was truly a labor of love which was far beyond what was expected in his AD position. May he Rest In Peace.
He has left his marks with many that he touched.

Tom was a great friend when we taught together at Prep all those years ago. Although we haven´t seen each other in years, those times have become special memories.

Tom was a great friend. We had great times coaching together, playing softball and putting down a few Jameson's once in a while. He always had our backs when he was Prep's AD. I will miss him very much.

I was a student wrestler at Paul VI, coach was a decent mentor, father, husband. He never knew how much he effected my life. He caught me lying to him, punished me rightfully! He taught me to be a responsible and ethical man. I loved him, and loved everything he represented. God Bless his entire family you guys were lucky to have him.
