Tony Supancic Obituary
July 23, 1939 - February 21, 2025
Tony, age 85, formerly of Plattsmouth, Nebraska passed away on February 21, 2025. He was born in Girard, Kansas on July 23, 1939 to Tony and Madeline (Boggio) Supancic. Tony graduated from Girard High School in 1957 and enlisted in the Army. He received his Bachelor and Master Degrees from Pittsburg State University. He was married to his wife Jennie and together they raised a son, Kevin. He worked for Boeing in aircraft structural engineering. Through Boeing, he worked at NASA on a special project at Launch Pad 39A at Cape Kennedy. Tony retired in 1995 from Mutual of Omaha as an Assistant Vice President of Property Management after twenty-five years. He was a past member and president of the Plattsmouth Optimists and served on the Advisory Board for ENCOR in Omaha.Throughout his life, Tony was an avid outdoorsman and traveled throughout the USA and abroad.
Tony is survived by his wife, brother, other family and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and son Kevin.
Visitation will be Tuesday, February 25, 2025 from 6 to 7 p.m., at Harvey Funeral Home.
Graveside Services will be Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at 2 p.m., at Oak Hill Cemetery in Plattsmouth, Nebraska.
Memorials may be directed to the Kevin Supancic Memorial Scholarship at Pittsburg State University, 1701 South Broadway, Pittsburg, KS 66762.
