William Eugene Brannock

March 13, 1939 - January 2, 2025

William Eugene Brannock, 85, of Summerville, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest January 2, 2025. He was born March 13, 1939, in Reidsville, North Carolina, son of the late William Henry Brannock and Elma Maie Bobbitt Brannock. William was a 1961 graduate of North Carolina State University in Nuclear Engineering. He was a civilian employee of the Department of the Navy at Charleston Naval Shipyard for 32 years.

His wife, Shirley, of 62 years preceded him in death. William spent the last eight years at The Village at Summerville (Presbyterian Home). The family thanks all the staff at The Village for his care.

William is survived by three sons: William Brian Brannock (Robin) of Collinsville, VA, David Eugene Brannock (Mary Ethel) of Greeneville, TN, Stephen Lee Brannock (Susan) of Summerville, SC; five grandchildren: Andrew, Lainey, Molly Kate (Daniel), Paul, and Zachary. He is also survived by his sister, Peggy Brannock Wright (Linwood - Deceased), of Danville, VA, and his brother, Larry Richard Brannock (Diane), of Gastonia, NC.

A service for William will be held at a later date. Memorial messages may be sent to the family at www.jhenrystuhr.com. The family is being served by J. Henry Stuhr Inc, West Ashley Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the PCSC Foundation, The Village at Summerville, Charitable Care Fund, 2817 Ashland Road, Columbia, SC 29210-5009.
