August 26, 1941 - May 18, 2022
Preceded in death by his parents, William C. and Phyllis Littrell; son, Robert Burk Littrell; brother, David Thomas Littrell. He is survived by his wife, Kathryne "Kate" Cutler; son, William David; and by his second family, Mark Bequeaith and Suzanne Stewart and their children Cora, Frieda, and Louise; by Ann Curtis and her husband Samuel Gubbels and their two sons, Graham and Isaac; and by Jake Curtis and Mary Keller Curtis and their children, Audrey and Max.
VISITATION: Saturday, May 21st from 12:30pm to 1:30pm at Cutler O'Neill Funeral Home, 545 Willow Ave. in Council Bluffs, followed by FUNERAL SERVICE at 1:30pm. INTERMENT: Walnut Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to All Care Health Center, Children's Square U.S.A, or Council Bluffs Public Library Foundation.

I only had the pleasure of spending time with Boyd sporadically over the last three decades through Ann. Despite the small amount of time, he had a deep impact on me through his warmth, curiosity and caring nature. I miss knowing he is among us as though I saw him all the time.

I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Boyd. What a special person he was. He left a beautiful legacy with his family, friends and students. He will be greatly missed by all who loved him. May the family keep their memories close and speak of him often. May his memory always serve as a blessing.

I had the pleasure to meet Boyd as a student and later as a neighbor and friend. Boyd had great stories and always brought a calm and pleasant demeanor to every conversation. He was a true inspiration and will be missed dearly.

I loved Boyd like a brother, and will miss him terribly. He had a huge impact on my life, both as my long-ago teacher and as a dear friend for decades. I send love and condolences to dear Kate and all those who loved him. He was a remarkable, a Renaissance, man. The world is a poorer place without him. I regret that I am overseas, and will not be able to be there to give him a proper goodbye. So, goodbye, old friend. Thank you for being in my life and letting me into yours.

I loved Boyd like a brother and am heartbroken that he has left us. He quite literally changed my life, both as my long-ago teacher and as a dear friend for decades. I will miss him deeply, and send my condolences and love to dear Kate and all who loved him. He was a remarkable, Renaissance man. Goodbye old friend. I wish I was not out of the country so that I could be there to give him a proper goodbye. Goodbye old amigo.
