CANASTOTA >> Constance E. "Connie" Noble, 72, of 699 N. Peterboro St., Canastota, passed peacefully on Tuesday, May 6, 2014, at Oneida Healthcare following a brief illness.
She was born on April 17, 1942, in Canastota, a daughter of James and Gertrude Blacklock Scanlan.
Connie has lived in Canastota all of her life, graduating from Canastota High School in 1960.
She has worked at Jean Elaine's School of Dance in Chittenango for several years.
Connie was a member of St. Agatha's Church in Canastota.
She enjoyed playing golf, dancing, playing cards, meeting her friends at McDonald's, trips to the Casino, and spending time with her friends and family, especially her grandchildren.
Connie married Theodore W. "Ted" Noble on Aug. 3, 1963, at St. Agatha's Church in Canastota.
Surviving are: four daughters, Melanie Henderson, of Canastota, Michelle "Shelly" and Matthew Tompkins of Canastota, Cheri and Anthony Marchetti of Chittenango, and Carrie and Jamie Jones of Oneida; one brother and sister-in-law, James and Joanne Scanlan of Ballston Spa; two sisters, Claire Carney of Vernon, and Patricia Roehm of Oneida; seven grandchildren, Julian Piraino, Samantha Miller, Alex Jones, Amber Noble, Darien Tompkins, Kasey Jones, and Jack Jones; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Connie was predeceased by two sisters, Jane Beach and Carol Gleason.
Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday, May 10, 2014, at St. Agatha's Church, Canastota, where a funeral mass will be held. The Rev. Stephen P. Wirkes, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in St. Agatha's Cemetery, Canastota. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 4-7 p.m. at the J. Homer Ball Funeral Home, Inc., 201 James St., Canastota. In her memory, contributions may be made to the Epilepsy Foundation of Western/Central PA, Team Matthew, Attn: Development Dept., 1501 Reedsdale St., Suite 3002, Pittsburgh, Pa. 15233, with envelopes available at the funeral home.
