Isabel D. Hoffman

Isabel D. Hoffman, age 96 of Hamilton, New York passed away on November 21,2022 at Crouse Community after a brief hospitalization.Isabel was born on November 25, 1925 in Utica, NY to the late Mildred and William Down. She was a member of the 1943 graduating class of New Hartford High School and worked at Cunningham Studios and International Heater Company before marrying her soul mate, Donald G. Hoffman of Utica, New York in 1948. They shared almost 56 years of marriage until Don's death in 2004 and together raised three children (Jan, Cort, and Tod).Isabel is survived by her children: daughter, Jan H. Folta (David) of Hamilton, NY; son D. Cortney Hoffman (Stephanie) of Allentown, PA; and son Tod T. Hoffman (Michelle) of Manlius, NY. She is also survived by five grandchildren: S. Tyler Hoffman (Marc Miller) of Philadelphia, PA; Kaitlyn Cortney (KC) Hoffman of Philadelphia, PA; Matthew J. Folta of West Winfield, NY; and Will G. Hoffman and Lauren R. Hoffman of Manlius, NY. Isabel and Don's work life was centered in New Hartford, NY while summer memories were made at the cottage on Lake Moraine in Hamilton, NY. They became snowbirds in Groveland, FL, 40 years ago.
