Jeanne L. O'ConnorSTACY BASIN- Jeanne L. O'Connor, 77, State Route 46, died Thursday morning, October 4, 2018, in the Oneida Healthcare Center, surrounded by her loving family, following an extended illness.Born in the Town of Verona, on March 5, 1941, she was the daughter of Francis L. and Ernestine Gerwig Rider. Jeanne was a graduate of Vernon-Verona-Sherrill High School and had resided in New Jersey and Rochester, returning to the area in 2005. Her husband, Daniel O'Connor died in 1970.Prior to her retirement, Jeanne was employed in the payroll department at the corporate offices of Monroe Muffler and Brake for over twenty-five years. She was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church and loved her flowers, gardening, music, especially country music, her grandchildren and her antiques.Surviving are her daughter-in-law, Melissa O'Connor of Blossvale; her grandchildren, Gage O'Connor and Mirannda O'Connor; her great-grandaughter, Aislynn Morgan; her two sisters, Carole M, Rider, Comanche, Oklahoma and Sandy Henry of Clinton; her brother, Gerald F. Rider of Stacy Basin; and several nieces and nephews, among those who were very close to Jeanne were, Stephanie Klish, Chad Rider and Shawn Henry. She was predeceased by her son, Troy O'Connor who died May 29, 2006. Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM, Thursday, from the Campbell-Dean Funeral Home, Inc., 260 Main Street, Oneida, with the Reverend Katie Yahns, officiating.
