Jessica M. Karst,70, Lake Shore Road, North, Verona Beach, died Monday, January 1, 2024, in Wynn Hospital, where she had been a medical patient for the past two days.Born in Camden, on July 21, 1953, she was the daughter of Earl H. and Ethel I. Grinell Jandreau. A lifelong resident of this area, Jessica was a graduate of Camden Central Schools. Her husband Daniel M. Karst died on November 23, 1991. Her longtime companion and fiance, Robert R. Webster died on November 26, 2023.Jessica assisted Bob in the ownership and operation of Satch's Tavern in New London and previously had been employed with the former Harden Furniture Company. She was a member of the Durhamville Veterans Club and the Sylvan Beach Post # 1153 American Legion Auxiliary, enjoyed motorcycling, gardening, (especially her houseplants), and family gatherings, since family was always her top priority.Surviving are her two daughters, Kelly (Jim Peck) Karst of Verona Beach and Sherri (Todd Caponi) Spink of Camden; her two sons, Randall 'Duff' (Chrissy) Spink and Heath (Julie) Spink, all of Camden; grandchildren, Taylor (Chris) Meeker, Morgan (Cade Miller) MacRae, Jordan (Courtney Schnieder) Karst, Kara Spink, Amanda Spink and Lily Peck and six great-grandchildren; her sister, Sandy Warren of Camden; her two brothers, Earl Jandreau of Watertown and Merle Grinell of Pennsylvania; her faithful four legged companion, Sam; and several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held 2 PM, Sunday from the Campbell-Dean Funeral Home, Inc., 260 Main Street, Oneida. Friends may call at the funeral home, 12-2 PM, Sunday, prior to the service. Spring interment will be made in Hillside Cemetery. Contributions, in her memory, may be made to Wanderers Rest.
