Josephine Jacob Obituary
Josephine was born on March 22, 1921, in Oneida, a daughter of Joseph and Loretta Cafalone Maiura. She was a lifelong resident of Oneida and attended Oneida schools.
She married Louis R. Jacob on June 8, 1942, in St. Patrick's Church, Oneida. Mr. Jacob died on Nov. 10, 1999.
Josephine was a member of St. Patrick's Church and a former member of Catholic Daughters.
Surviving are two sons, Ronald Jacob, of Sherrill, and Daniel Jacob, of Rochester; one daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Roger A. Karan Jr., of Oneida; five grandchildren, Michael (Jill) Jacob, Scott (Jenifer) Colvin, Ryan (Natalie) Colvin, Daniel (Jennifer) Jacob and Angelique (Andrew) Hackett; 15 great-grandchildren, Benjamin, Kaitlyn and Samuel Jacob, Isaac, Eliza, Abram, Elgin, and Evlyn Colvin, Lillian Colvin, Carlie and Brian Ward, Cara Hackett, and the triplets, Autumn, Brynne, and Celeste Hackett; a great great-granddaughter, Aiyanna Mims; and several nieces and nephews. Josephine was predeceased by a daughter-in-law, Gloria Jacob; five sisters, Pearl Maley, Loretta Rinaldi, Jane Butler, Lena Paterniti, and Rose Paterniti; and one brother, John Maiura.
The Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, July 15, 2013, at 11:30 a.m. in St. Patrick's Church where the Rev. Richard J. Kapral will officiate. Interment will be made in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Oneida. There will be no calling hours. Contributions may be made in Josephine's memory to St. Patrick's Church Memorial Fund, 347 Main St., Oneida, N.Y. 13421. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Ironside Funeral Home, Inc., 342 Main St., Oneida, N.Y. 13421.

Jo was a neighbor of mine (on N. Court St. in Wampsville) for years. I used to do her hair for many yrs. She was just the sweetest lady. So sorry for your loss.
