Liana Kibric Obituary

Utica >> Liana C. (Wilsey) Kibric, 42, of 1651 St. Jane Ave., Utica, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, June 15, 2017, at St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Utica, following a brief illness.

She was born on July 7, 1974, in Oneida, the daughter of Caroline (Thomson) and Suzanne DeTore-Wilsey.

Liana lived in Canastota most of her life, graduating from Canastota High School in 1991. She later graduated from the Utica School of Commerce in Canastota, with an Associate's Degree. Liana has lived in Utica for the past 10 years.

She worked at Turning Stone Casino in Verona for 12 years, and more recently at CNY Cardiology in Utica for three years.
Liana was a member of St. Agatha's Church in Canastota.

She loved art, photography, music, rescuing animals, and spending time with her family. Liana was extremely proud of her children.
Surviving are: two sons, Brandon M. Goding of Herkimer, and Pvt. Kyle L. Goding of Utica, who is serving in the US Marines; one daughter, Sabrina B. Goding of Utica; one sister and brother-in-law, Patricia and Safet Kibric of Utica; her parents, Caroline and Suzanne DeTore-Wilsey of Canastota; as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 21, 2017, at St. Agatha's Church, 329 N. Peterboro St., Canastota. The Rev. Stephen P. Wirkes will officiate. Burial will be in Whitelaw Cemetery, Canastota. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the J. Homer Ball Funeral Home, Inc., 201 James St., Canastota. In her memory, contributions may be made to Wanderers' Rest Humane Association, Inc., PO Box 535, Canastota, N.Y. 13032, with envelopes available at the funeral home.
