Susan Teachout Obituary

"Devoted mother and Caregiver" We are sad to announce the passing of Susan D. (Palmer-Hoffman) Teachout of Sanford, NC. She died at the age of 75 on 09/28/2022. Susan passed away at home surrounded by her loved ones after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer's. She was a wonderful mother who was always there when we needed her. She also had many friends, never met a stranger and was a well loved member of the community. She is survived by her husband Rick Teachout of TN; sons Roger Rapp, Richard Teachout and Mike Teachout all of TN, Frank (Sherry) Rapp of Illinois; daughter, Renita (Mark) Williamson of NC; sisters, Sandra Borys of Sherrill NY and Betty Tuttle of Hamilton NY; brothers, Charles Hoffman (Anne) of Naples FL, John Hoffman and Michael Hoffman (Heidi) of NY. Susan also left behind 15 grandchildren and 19 greatgrandchildren. Susan was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, her son, Fredrick Rapp, her sister, Charlene Bhuiyan, and four nephews. She will be truly missed by all, especially her children who she loved with her whole heart. Susan loved spending time with her family hiking/camping, antiquing and visiting garage sales on the weekends. Per wishes of the family, there will be no calling hours. Burial will be in the spring for family at Maple Grove Cemetery, Vernon NY. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association. https://www.lastingmemories.com/susan-d-palmer-hoffman-teachout
