Alberta Drake

Mrs. Alberta Adams Drake, 88, of 119 Paul Drake Drive, Danielsville, GA passed away Thursday, June 07, 2012, at her home.
Mrs. Drake was born in Madison County, GA October 29, 1923, daughter of the late Norman Adams and the late Vinnie Fowler Adams. She was a retired seamstress from Georgia Sportswear in Ila, GA and a member of the Ila Baptist Church. Mrs. Drake was preceded in death by her husband, the late James Paul Drake.
Mrs. Drake is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Jimmy and Carol Drake, and Jerry and Patsy Drake all of Danielsville, GA; grandchildren and spouses, Kelly and Donald Carr, Amy and Jayson Summers; great grandchildren, Kyle, Lydia, and Madelyn Carr, and Mary Drayke Summers; sister, Norma G. Arnold of Hull, GA; caregivers, Ann Westmoreland, Shirley Epps, Shirley Standridge, Barbara Brown, Ann McKie, and Linda Osley.
Preceded in death by her brother, Hope Adams; sisters, Ida Rachel Adams, Mary Dean and Aletha Bridges.
Funeral services for Mrs. Drake will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 09, 2012, at the Ila Baptist Church with Rev. Murray Brett and Rev. Billy Owensby officiating. Burial will follow in the Ila City Cemetery.
The body is at the Pruitt Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday evening. The body will be placed in the church at 10:30 a.m. Saturday morning. The family is at the home.
