Billy Guest Obituary
A native of Jackson County, Mr. Guest was a son of the late Melvin Valco Guest Sr. and Leona Ferguson Guest. He was retired from Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution in Woods Hole, MA where he worked in security. Mr. Guest was a veteran of the United States Air Force and served two tours in Vietnam from 1966-1968.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, Melvin Valco Guest Jr. and sister, Jean Crowther.
Survivors include children, Brian Guest and Windy Paine, both of Cape Cod, MA; partner, Barbara Ann Childs; brothers, Larry Guest of Athens and Jackson Wesley "J.W." Guest of Watkinsville; sisters, Sherry Ruff of Elberton and Vickey Gregory of Eatonton; four grandchildren, Lilly Paine, Rachael Paine, Michael Guest and Brian Guest Jr.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, December 14 at 2 p.m. at Winterville Cemetery with Dr. Stewart Simms officiating.

Uncle Bill will always be known as Funny Man to Kaitlyn and Bryson Roe. I remember when he was sitting with Aunt Jean he said no one should die alone. I pray that he knew he was never alone because he was always in our thoughts and prayers.
