Laura and I will always hold Charlie in our highest regard. He was a true gentleman with a friendly and welcoming smile and handshake. When we returned to Athens in 1971 after Emory orthodontic program we went to Mr. Milner and Charlie with our unimpressive financial report.
They adjusted several figures to our application to get it approved and Charlie became my banker for many many years.
It was an honor to have known him and we want to express our heartfelt sympathies to his family.

My father, Bill Arrington, thought the world of Mr Burch and introduced me to him when I was a teen. My dad considered Mr Burch a trustworthy, good friend. I hope they´re together enjoying renewed friendships now.

A life well lived has closed, and he will be missed by many. He was a gentleman in every sense and possessed of a genial personality. For years he and Marguerite were my friends at the Sunday buffet at the Holiday Inn. We had many a lively exchange. I have missed his fellowship for long months. Our last visit was at his bench beneath the tree outside his home. I will miss looking for him when I pass from now on. My sympathy to each member of his immediate and extended family.

So sorry to hear of your loss. Mr. Burch was my first boss after I graduated from college at the bank in Athens. I only worked there for a few months before going to work for the government . He was such a kind and caring boss. He loved the Bulldogs . The family will be in our thoughts and prayers.
