Judge Brooks was a golfing buddy of my daddy "Jake" Howington. Not only that, but he was a great friend to daddy. When daddy had to go to a nursing home (he was only in there for 2 weeks before he passed away)Judge Brooks visited him every day. When daddy passed away I asked Judge Brooks to be one of the pallbearers and he said he would be glad to be one. I'm so grateful that my daddy had a friend like Judge Brooks. I will always remember his kindness and friendship to my daddy. You and your family have my sincere sympathy in your great loss.

I WILL MISS HIM PLAYING GOLF AND CARDS, BUT MOST OF ALL I WILL MISS HIM AS A FRIEND. HIS DRY SENSE OF HUMOR WILL BE MISSED BY MANY. HE OFTEN SAID THAT HE WAS THE MOST HONEST JUDGE THAT MONEY COULD BUY.

Judge Brooks loved his church and his family. He was a devoted and loving grandfather to Hillary and J.D. I know they will miss him very much!

We will miss seeing and talking to him in Sunday School and Church. I just enjoyed his lessons on the Sunday's when he taught our "GP" Sunday School class.
