Joe McCannon Obituary

Colbert - Joe Allen McCannon, 53, died September 16, 2003.
A lifelong resident of Oglethorpe County, he was the son of Dan and Thelma Lowe Wilson of Colbert. He was retired from the University of Georgia and was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his brother, Russell McCannon and grandmother, Nell Lowe.
Graveside services will be Thursday, September 18, 2003, at 2:00 PM at Crawford Cemetery.
Survivors in addition to his parents include his grandfather, Pearl Lowe; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Lord and Stephens, EAST, is in charge of arrangements.
