L. Burroughs Obituary
Born in Madison County, he was the son of the late Earl and Roxie Bone Burroughs, preceded in death by a sister, Azalee Freeman and the widower of Floye Cheatham Burroughs. Mr. Burroughs was a U.S. Army veteran of WW II and a retired propane truck driver. He was a member of Amvets, American Legion and lifetime member of VFW. Mr. Burroughs was a member of Winterville United Methodist Church.
Graveside services will be Wednesday, November 29, 2006 at 11:00AM at Evergreen Memorial Park, with Rev. Dayton Logan officiating.
Survivors include his daughter, Linda Pass of Winterville; 2 brothers, Raymond (Linda) Burroughs and John Burroughs of Commerce; grandchildren, Denise Pass VanWicklen (Gary), Rick Pass (Dana) and Kevin Pass; 2 great grandchildren, Lindsay Pass and Patrick VanWicklen.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
Mr. Burroughs was a very kind man who was always willing to give a helping hand to anyone in need. In keeping with his generous spirit, the family requests that in lieu of flowers, you do something kind for a friend and let Linda know how you honored his memory.

Linda, I am so sorry for your great loss. Your Dad was a good co-worker for over 20 years. He was faithful and dedicated. Even though he had been retired for over 20 years, every time we talked, we talked about gas. He will be missed.
