I realize I'm almost a year too late in writing this but my family and I just found out about Mr. Mongomery's passing a few months ago. I will always remember the warmth My sisters and I found in the house next door. Playing with Mr. Montgomery's and Mrs. Dot's grandchildren, the yearly Easter egg hunts and the giant magnolia tree are memories I will always remember fondly. Mr. Montgomery was a huge part of my childhood and I will never forget seeing him, cigar in hand, enjoying a newspaper or book.

Marion taught me at Darlington School in Rome & the University of Georgia. He was an outstanding teacher. Later, when I in the Georgia House of Representatives we became friends. He was such a gentleman & fine writer. I like & admired him. God bless the Montgomery family,
