Ms. Foster has been a friend of my family for many years. Always ready to give a helping hand and never expected anything in return. She will always be remembered as a beautiful person.

What an extraordinary angel! I never had her as a teacher, but I remember her loving and stern ways in school. She was such a hoot in that little Escort and carting that oxygen tank everywhere. We could use a lot more of Miss Mary's in this world!!

I had the privilege to serve as the counselor of Oglethorpe County Middle School for 17 years. Miss Foster was one of my all-time favorite people. I had opportunities from time to time to speak to her classes. She always maintained tight control of her classes. She truly touched the lives of many students.

One very fine lady. I am very sorry for your loss and wish I had known about the funeral earlier.

Ms. Mary always had wonderful advice for us as newlyweds. She was very encouraging and urged us not to "follow the script", but to go out and experience all life has to offer. We will miss her and her rum cakes greatly.

Ms. Foster was one of a kind. I enjoyed her outlook on life and could always depend on her to cut straight to the point. She never disappointed. It was a pleasure to know her, and I, like so many others, admired and respected her greatly.

Ms. Mary was the most inspirational person I have ever encountered. Her teachings will carry on with me and my family throughout our lifetimes... What a spectacular lady. I loved her like family. I visited Mary on many occasions. The last visit was in the hospital, about a year or so ago...and though she was layed up in the hospital bed... she was full of spirit and still brightened the room... I am so sad that I did not get to tell her goodbye, but she'll always be with us, through her teachings, love and care... She will be greatly missed. God bless the family at this time...

We were sadden to hear of Mary's passing. We only knew her in her later years, but enjoyed her humor & her stories of years of teaching in special education, & her love of others, that were less fortunate & her travels during her life. Our thoughts & prayers go out to the entire family in this time of your loss. May God bless & comfort you all.

Wow. What a spectacular lady. Mrs. Foster was so special to me. I remember what seems like yesterday that I was in 8th grade and she was giving her class "brain pills" (lemon heads or some sort of candy!). She touched my life in a way that few people have. I love her very much and will miss her. To her family and close friends- my prayers are with you. She will be missed.
