Dear Paige, Jacob, Uncle Bob, Aunt Fay, Bob, Bill, Jack, Mark, Tom, Jane, Tonia, Krystal, Lee, my Mom and Dad, all other Family and Friends of Rick,

I'll be with you all today, even though I'm in Pittsburgh. Give each other a hug or shake hands for me. And please give little Jacob a kiss for me.

It was sad to hear that Rick passed away when Uncle Bob called me on Sunday, but now Rick's suffering is over.

I was glad that Božena, Tinka, and I were able to come to Athens in March and spend some time with you all, especially Rick. I was glad that we talked and gave each other a hug when I was leaving. It was fun for all of us to get together for the party at Mark and Tonia's house, and also for the meals prepared at Uncle Bob's and Aunt Fay's. It was fun to watch Jacob and Tinka play together. She also had alot of fun playing football with Uncle Bob. She talks about you all, especially Jack growling like a bear and Tom mooing like a cow. And when I was getting her ready for school yesterday, she told me that the picture on her t-shirt(a girl dancing) was teta Tonia. She likes to play that she's a little dog and of course when she does she is Freddy. We've all had alot of good times and laughs together over the years and I'm glad that we all got together again.

I talked with Rick on the phone on Saturday afternoon. We had nice chat and he sounded good over the phone. We talked about you all and the fun that we had getting together. We talked about Tinka and Jacob and how they are growing nicely. It won't be long now until he is walking on his own and speaking regular (or should I say Southern) English. We talked about the Masters and Easter. We agreed that better days are ahead for all of us. I told him that I would have to give him a head twister for no good reason other than to do it. Then we said good-bye for the last time. I'm glad that I called him and we talked.

Last night Gene Jazwinski called me and we talked for awhile, mostly about the good times we always had with Rick.

I know that today will not be an easy day for all of us, but try not to be too sad. Just remember something nice about Rick. That won't be hard to do. Here's what I'll be thinking about: Shady Ave, playing golf (especially the Monroe CC Lauderdale games), the Masters, going to baseball game in Atlanta (After we left the game we had to run back inside because Himsl left his purse under his seat), having a party with all of you, having some laughs, pitching horseshoes, head twisters, Big Time Charlie, Gramma Pinney, Grandma Hilko, Uncle Johnny.

I love you all,

David

My deepest sympathies to the Pintar family. When I think back to the days of my youth, I always remember the fun we (Bob, Bill & Rick) all had and how Rick, shall we say, made things just a little more “interesting.”
