Sarah McNeely Obituary
Also an accomplished musician, she currently served as Minister of Music for Greater Bethel A.M.E. Church, Rev. David T. Batts, Pastor. Her involvement with her children led to a very full schedule of volunteer activities with Barrow Elementary School, Cub Scouts, and Brownies.
Sarah Lynn is survived by her loving husband, William Keith McNeely, Sr. and their three children; William Keith, Jr., Avery Keaton, and Addie Elizabeth; Mother and Father-in-law; Mr. & Mrs. W.P. McNeely (Cornelia, GA); Brother-in-law, Mr. Kyle (Missy) McNeely (Atlanta, GA), Sister-in-law; Keyla McNeely (Atlanta GA); Grandmother; Mrs. Addie Mae Robinson; Great-Grandmother, Mrs. Sara Elizabeth Zellner; Nephew, Mykal A. Montford, Godparents; Dr. John H. & Mrs. Katheryn B. Davis, God sister, Kara Davis Waters, God Brother; Kirt Davis & a host of family and friends.
Funeral Services will be on Saturday, December 20, 2003 at 2:00 at Ebenezer Baptist Church, West. Remains will lie in state 12 noon until the hour of service. Entombment will be in Evergreen Memorial Park Mausoleum. Gardenview Funeral Chapel, LLC in charge of arrangements.

I just learned of Lynn's passing yesterday. We were not close friends, but we had shared the intimate experience of training for foster care/adoption this past spring. We met on several occasions around town last fall. Each time that we met, we would end in the typical exchange..."let's get together soon". We were both busy parents with active children and a world of other obligations. I regret that I did not have the privelage of knowing Lynn better. She was a lovely individual. I worked with Lynn at the mental health center in Winder. I was always moved by her work with children. She was filled with love and shared that with every child she helped. She was truly a blessing to those of us who had the chance to know her.
